Privacy

Short version: Toolbay does not want your data and does not collect it.

What you type

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The dates, numbers and words you enter are never sent to a server, and are not stored anywhere. Close the tab and they are gone.

One exception worth knowing: the countdown tool puts your chosen date and label into the page address, so the countdown can be bookmarked and shared. That happens in your browser, and the address is only seen by anyone you choose to send it to.

Cookies

Toolbay sets no cookies. There is no tracking, no advertising network, and no analytics on the site.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the hosting keeps standard access logs: the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user agent. These are produced by the web server, used to keep the site running and spot abuse, and are not used to build any profile of you.

Other sites

Some pages link out, for example to gov.uk or Datamuse. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

If this changes

If advertising or analytics are ever added to Toolbay, both of which usually involve cookies, this page will be updated to say exactly what is being set and why, before it goes live.
